About Interserve

Supporting you is a big priority

Living and working overseas is a huge change to anyone’s life.  New experiences from the move are part of the adventure, but new stresses also arise.  Supporting our Partners is a big priority and we do all we can do be there with you all the way.

Pastoral Support

Interserve helps to network a strong structure of fellowship, prayer and care in both home and host countries for our Long Term Partners and Short Termers. With the help of our seconded agencies and your sending churches, we ensure that your spiritual well being is nurtured in your host country so that you can continue to be salt and light in the communities you serve.

Placements are always in regions where others with the same heart for the Kingdom are also serving so that you will never be alone.

Financial Support

We want our Partners to have the best fundraising assistance possible. Interserve provides financial support based on Biblical principles and sound financial management.

We are a member of ACFID (Australian Council for International Development) and adhere to its Code of Conduct. We prepare annual reports and our books are audited annually by a registered company auditor. We also have a finance committee that meets monthly to closely monitor our finances.

We make sure our Partners living overseas are provided with sufficient and timely financing.  We are familiar with the necessary expenses that are involved with departing to the field and the costs of upholding overseas ministries.  We believe that Partners should leave the field feeling good about the financial side of serving.

Team Support

Team Support is the group of people committed to supporting Interserve Long Term and Short Term Partners through prayer, relationship and financial support. This commitment means that Partners, Supporters and Interserve are linked together — in faith and dependence on God’s provision.

One of our principles is that Team Support is fully pledged before an Interserve Partner is sent overseas. This means that each and every Partner has the financial support required for their first term overseas and they don't need to worry about raising more finances while they are away.

For our Partners who work primarily in community development, support is tax deductible for the Australian donor.  Support for Partners who are primarily involved in church work is not tax deductible.

Career Support

We want you to keep growing. That’s why Interserve recognises the benefit of continuing professional development for Partners. Professional refreshment can be gained at home, before or after a service. It can also be obtained during periods of service by attending structured courses or through visits to other countries’ projects or institutions.

Emergency Medical, Compassionate Support

It’s important to us that you are provided for in the case of medical emergency.  Interserve Australia provides Emergency Medical Evacuation Insurance for all Partners in each of our regions. Emergency compassionate leave insurance is also available to Partners at their own expense. While serving overseas with Interserve, Partners and their children are covered by Interserve’s International Medical Fund.
